Horse Gather to See Unusual Foal Born With Unique Markings

 No matter how experienced you’re at something, lifestyle can always surprise you.

They’re known for their lovely American Paint Horses. They have years of experience with their horses and that includes the breeding and birthing process. Thus, it will be safe to presume that not a great deal may surprise them during the birth of a filly.

Yet, they were in for one big surprise when they found the new filly that came to their family.

Poka gave birth to a filly, Coconut, and Coconut is a very rare type of horse referred to as a Medicine Hat.

A Medicine Hat Horse is a revered horse within the Indigenous culture across the United States. These horses have been proven to have supernatural powers and bring decent luck. These horses were believed to sense impending danger and protect the rider during battle. Just the Chief or Medicine Man were allowed to ride a Medicine Hat Horse in the tribe.

Why is a Medicine Hat Horse distinct from other people?

A Medicine Hat Horse is completely white but with colored patches that cover its ears and top of their mind. They are able to have other markings too. Should they’ve a patch of color in their chest, as Coconut does, this is called their shield. Sky Eye. If the Chief or Medicine Man dies in conflict then this one blue skies eye will carry their spirits into their Gods.”

The one blue eye is known as the “Sky Eye.”

Down Under Colour explains, “This eye in Indian Mythology is called a Sky Eye. If the Chief or Medicine Man dies in battle then this one blue sky eye will carry their spirits to their Gods.”

It must have been a sight to behold when Jackie and Scott Nelson saw Coconut for the very first time. She was not only a Medicine Hat Horse however she had other markers that left her even more infrequent. This is just one special and beautiful filly.

It’s not surprising that they desired to flaunt Coconut at just two days.

Jackie and Scott Nelson listed Coconut and Poka on their very first outside trip a day following the arrival. The horses line up against the fence to find the closest look in Coconut.

Coconut starts to run around on her scrawny legs in no time. If she believed she could conduct on her, she was mistaken. Anywhere that Coconut conducts her mom is right behind her. When Coconut gets quite near the fence, Poka will stand guard between Coconut and some other person or animal.

Coconut even gets her first kiss from the pet!

Every member of this Down Under Color farm wants to get a little bit of attention from the infrequent Filly and their dog did not wish to be left out. Coconut seems just as interested in the dog but after the puppies gives her a kiss, then she backs it up. She was not prepared to be close with the dog!
