Sometimes, he’s just not that into you. Hey, isn’t that a movie? Well, it can happen in real life too.
You would be astonished at how many times you could be so wrong about how another person feels about you. You could feel like everything is doing well in your relationship, but little do you know that your partner doesn’t exactly see things in the same way.
On the surface, everything seems fine. You think that you’re both on the right path as a couple. And you don’t actually see any reason why neither of you would be able to make things last in your relationship. But again, there might be things that are sparkling up underneath the surface – and it could potentially catch you by surprise.
There is very little that you can do whenever someone you like just doesn’t like you in the same manner. Yes, you could try a few things to make yourself more attractive. But at the end of the day, some things just aren’t meant to be and you need to be able to accept that.
You can’t force another person into having feelings for you. It just doesn’t work that way. So you don’t have to feel too bad if the guy that you’ve really liked doesn’t really like you in return. The best possible thing that you can do if you find yourself in this scenario is to accept the cards that fate has dealt you; and move on with your life.
So how do you know for sure that a guy just isn’t into you even when you think that he is? Well, there are a few signs that you could stay on the lookout for.
1. He doesn’t make you feel like he accepts you for who you are
He is always looking to condemn you. He is always so quick to point out your little mistakes. And he isn’t doing it out of love either. He’s intentionally doing it to try and change you. He somehow never makes you feel like he can accept you for who you actually are.
2. He always seems too busy for you
A man who is really into you would do whatever he can to spend time with you. You can’t expect any man to spend ALL of his time with you. But if he really liked you, he would move some stuff in his schedule around to accommodate you in his life.
3. He hasn’t introduced you to his closest buds
He doesn’t really want to introduce you to the most friendly aspects of his life because he’s just not too keen on integrate you as an important aspect of his life. He just doesn’t see the two of you ever becoming an item.
4. He changes the topic whenever you try to bring up talks about the future
The truth is that he just doesn’t envision a future with the two of you in it because he doesn’t like you in that way. He just isn’t interested in anything romantic with you.
5. He only ever really compliments you about how you look
You might think that he really likes you because he tells you that you’re pretty all the time. But has he ever complimented you on anything other than your looks?
6. He doesn’t really put effort into planning your dates
He doesn’t even plan your dates at all. It’s always you who plans everything. It’s always you who acts as the initiator. Somehow, it’s always you who has to make the plans. Otherwise, the two of you wouldn’t be spending any time together at all. He isn’t making any effort to connect with you.
7. He doesn’t act defensive or jealous when you flirt with other men
You would never want to be in a relationship with an overly jealous and selfish guy. That’s toxic. But if a guy isn’t even acting the least bit protective or jealous when it comes to you, then it’s almost definitely because he isn’t really invested in the idea of being with you.
8. He doesn’t make you feel like you can rely on him
You can’t really depend on him to be there for you whenever you need help or when times get a little rough. He’s not a guy who is going to stay as a constant presence in your life.
9. Your friends tell you that he’s not into you
Never discount the advice of your friends. They are always there to look out for you. Yes, you shouldn’t be living your life based on what your friends tell you. But you always have to make it a point to hear them out as well – particularly the friends you can actually trust. They only want what’s best for you after all.
10. You’re not really sure about how he feels about you
If a guy likes you, then you would almost certainly know about it. You wouldn’t doubt yourself or be feeling nervous. A guy who actually likes you is a guy who would really put attempt into making sure that you know that you are loved and esteemed.
